Las TIC y el aprendizaje de las lenguasComo docentes de lenguas, podemos ayudar enormemente a nuestros estudiantes con el uso de los recursos que nos ofrecen las TIC, no solo desde el punto de vista de la motivación que produce una herramienta educativa bien diseñada, por ejemplo, de la evaluación inmediata del algunas de las actividades propuestas, de la retroalimentación que podemos brindar, de la autonomía que se puede desarrollar, sino también de la posibilidad de interactuar con individuos de otras comunidades, para usar significativamente el lenguaje, aprender de y comprender otras culturas y ampliar su percepción del mundo, entre otras cosas. Cómo se pueden alcanzar estas últimas metas en sus diseños educativos mediados por TIC?
Nosotros como docentes de lenguas,utilizando y aprovechando las bondades de las TIC, podemos lograr que nuestros estudiantes desarrollen autonomía, mejoren la interacción con miembros de su misma comunidad u otra, y amplíen su percepción del mundo;teniendo en cuenta algunas de las siguientes prácticas: Trabajando con textos y actividades relacionadas con su propio contexto y cotidianidad, analizando argumentos u opiniones desde diferentes puntos de vista, propiciando acciones que favorezcan el descubrimiento y la exploración,utilizando recursos que ayuden a que los estudiantes construyan conocimiento por sí mismos,es decir trabajos no tan esquemáticos, con experiencias útiles en la vidad real del estudiante y que les permitan expresar sus ideas y opiniones,proponiendo dinámicas que exploren la metacognición, y por último planteando actividades que desarrollen el aprendizaje colaborativo.

Mi propuesta didáctica está dirigida a los niños más pequeños del sistema escolar distrital, y está enfocado en generar aprendizajes significativos en inglés a través del uso de las tics. Teniendo en cuenta que estos chiquitos tienen todo el potencial del mundo y toda la disponibilidad para el aprendizaje, debo encaminar en primer lugar los objetivos del proyecto, diseño y ejecución a cubrir las necesidades, intereses y expectativas del alumno y no satisfacer mis necesidades. Puedo involucrarlos en el mundo de las TICs y el aprendizaje a través de ellas sin permitirles que olviden que siempre está primero la comunicación interpersonal directa y luego a distancia, pero que de igual manera puede ser altamente provechosa.
ResponderEliminarAdemás, como ya es sabido el niño tiene estructuras conceptuales previas que deben ser la base del nuevo conocimiento, la clave a través de mi propuesta es averiguar que saben mis niños y a partir de ahí enseñar consecuentemente e incorporar el nuevo conocimiento a través de un material significativo para él en su contexto y que además le permita conocer y comparar nuevos contextos para así aprender de un mundo que dada sus condiciones sociales no será fácil de accesar.
En resumen, mi trabajo y propuesta busca ser lo suficientemente significativa en sus objetivos, contenidos, en su diseño, en el manejo de imágenes y actividades; de manera tal que los logre interesar hasta el punto de sentir la necesidad de trabajar en él para alcanzar aprendizaje, autonomía e interacción.

However….“for when social groups come to recognize as such a basic knowledge that everyone has the right, and get its delivery in a general manner within organized systems, the utility of this knowledge is already challenged” (Gutiérrez M., A. (2003)
ResponderEliminarThat's why, as teachers we must seek our students to generate thoughtful proposals off the tools and concepts presented to us by these means, using interaction and interactivity -rescuing those positive aspects, such as conducting intellectual aspects, that facilitate learning, in the case of interactivity- in our classrooms and through the technological tools to design or implement in our classrooms, promoting meaningful learning.
Many of the aspects related to the use of ICTs are important in teaching foreign language learning, among them the independence that "... has been linked with self directed learning, learner autonomy and individual responsibilities" (White C. 2003 ), the control that ".... depends upon the opportunity (independence) and ability (proficiency) to direct the course of activities and experiences, together with the necessary resources (support) '(White C. 2003) and more specifically the collaborative control which is based on the idea that cognitive autonomy is learner's responsibility, but this autonomy does not imply social independence, which would lead us to believe that, as social beings we have a responsibility to deliver our reflections taking into account the subjects that are involved in our learning environment and that such expressions will generate effects in those who receive them.
Similarly, we must be aware that each educational intervention with our students come from a determined reality, that includes a problem in which one wants to intervene, to solve, and that this problem comes from a dynamic, creative and continuous cultural environment, taking, also, into account that “culture becomes a way that we frame the world in terms of where we live and what language we speak” (Egbert & Mikel, 2005) and that within that culture there are symbols and systems belonging to some members, we must use constructivist tools for target language performance and subsequently use these tools to enhance intercultural awareness.
The internet, we believe, facilitates a sense a global-village, but we don´t realize that cultures different from that where this tool emerged (well developed countries) are being razed, and at this point is where we can make the difference: we can use a second language (no matter which one) to spread our own culture, using a different code and do not using it as a power instrument.
In my own case, my students as future pre-school teachers, could use English as a tool for the children to acquire a more global vision of their reality; ICTs to improve their knowledge of a foreign culture (English culture in this case), and both of them to communicate the values, customs, beliefs of our culture to other people. All of this give them the opportunity to learn not just about English, but the confidence they can learn everything they want, and the best, about their own culture.
Estamos en la era educativa del constructivo. Sin duda alguna el contar con un recurso tan valioso como lo es la tecnología de la información y la comunicación nos proporcionan herramientas que podrían, claro esta con una buen análisis y diseño metodológico para los materiales multimedia que creemos, optimizar nuestros trabajos para así poder brindar a los aprendientes ambientes de aprendizaje significativos. De ahí que los mismos tratados teóricos nos hablan del respeto a la pluralidad cognitiva y cognoscitiva de los estudiantes. Así, rescato y resalto despues de haber disenado un producto multimedia y luego del acercamiento teorico, 3 aspectos importantes con el uso de la tecnología como mediadora de los procesos de aprendizaje y enseñanza; primero, la gran versatilidad que ofrece este campo, hay espacio para novatos y para expertos en la materia del diseño de materiales multimedia, por ende también hay un proceso de crecimiento en el campo del manejo de las herramientas tecnológicas como en el campo pedagógico, pues se intenta que hoy en día hagamos ese uso critico de estos recursos tecnológicos para que podamos entrar en la era de un conocimiento plural, un conocimiento respetuoso de los intereses de nuestros estudiantes, de sus estilos de aprendizaje y de sus necesidades. En segundo lugar, es imperativo resaltar, la nueva concepción que los teóricos dan a cerca del aprendizaje autónomo en el aprendizaje mediado por las tics, pues hoy en dia vemos o tenemos un temor generalizado hacia el uso de estas, pues se cree que podrían aislar a los individuos (claro esta podría ser cierto por eso es necesario desarrollar el pensamiento critico), la nueva conceptualizacion resalta la importancia de tener espacios para la interacción no solo con las maquinas o con los programas sino con las personas, luego hay espacio para el aprendizaje cooperativo y colaborativo; asi mismo, nuestra labor como docentes recobra una nueva visión en este tipo de aprendizaje, y es el rol de guías del proceso autónomo de aprendizaje. En tercer lugar es importante señalar la importancia que tiene hoy la pedagogía crítica. Justamente hoy nos quejamos de la falta de reflexión ante las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación y en genral ante "todo", porque muchas veces todo lo nuevo sorprende inmensamente la mente humana y adormece por así decirlo (me excuso por generalizar) nuestro sentido critico, entonces no es la llamada moda del las tics en educación la que nos debe llevar al uso de estas, sino la aceptación de estas realidades dentro de nuestras realidades, una aceptación no pasiva sino activa, cuando nos convertimos en participantes pasivos, son las maquinas y el aislamiento que se manifiestan, cuando somos activos, es nuestra humanidad y nuestros valores y la defensa de los mismos los que sobresalen. De esta manera esta reflexión humanística del uso de la tecnologías son las que deben orientar nuestros diseños metodológicos.

ResponderEliminarMost exactly for language teachers, as in our case, for English teachers in Bogotá Colombia, it exists a variety of possibilities in offers for its teaching learning processes new forms of knowledge in instructional environments incorporating informatics products that are new form of information allowing possibilities of communication (World Wide Web), educative programs for accessing to different base of data, texts, pictures, videos, audios in a whole system educative software, multimedia programs, hyper textual programs and simulations that with a good instgruction, understanding and use will be the main instrument for solving everyday difficulties in every field of our reality.

WE know that nowadays it is very difficult to catch interest of students, so technology and most internet is our tool to make the experience of learning a better situation to have a real perception about the current world.
